Who we are, where we come from, and where we’re headed as a church family.

Who we are

Above all else, we’re followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that he is the Son of God, and that he meant what he said when asked about the greatest commandment. Simply put Jesus said “Love God, Love People”. At Journey, our mission is all about following His words. We’re about loving God, growing together, and serving others.

Where we come from

Journey Church has been rooted in our community since 1927 when we began under the name “Whosoever Will Tabernacle”. A lot has changed in the 90 plus years we’ve been in this community. We became affiliated with the Assemblies of God in 1959 and changed our name to “Carney Assembly of God”. Then in 2018, under the direction of our lead pastor, Greg Kittredge, became “Journey Church”.

Where we’re going

We believe that The Holy Spirit will guide our journey as a community. We’re focused on our mission to Love God, Grow Together, and Serve Others. We believe that God has placed us where we are to meet physical needs and reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus.
